Yes — watching EXPLR is free. Some EXPLR Edge® programs, where you earn a credential, carry a fee.
What is EXPLR Edge®?▾
EXPLR Edge® is how you prove what you've learned — a verifiable, shareable digital badge issued through Credly and mapped to the EXPLR Skills Framework. It's real proof of real learning; not an accredited qualification, and that boundary is the point.
Do I need an app to watch?▾
No. Just open EXPLR in any web browser, on any device — phone, tablet, or computer. No app or download needed, and everything to watch is free.
Does EXPLR work for classroom or remote learning?▾
Yes. EXPLR works anywhere you have a browser — at home, in class, or after school. It's a flexible fit for hybrid classrooms, home learning, and afterschool programs.
Is EXPLR available in other languages?▾
All EXPLR videos include English captions, and many also include Spanish subtitles.
Is EXPLR accessible, and is my data safe?▾
Yes. EXPLR supports assistive technology, and we protect your personal data in line with COPPA (US), the UK GDPR, and EU data-protection law. If you're in the UK or EU, you have rights over your data — including access, correction, and deletion — and younger users may need a parent or guardian's consent depending on their country. How old do I have to be — and who pays for Edge®?▾
You must be 13 or older to use EXPLR. To purchase a paid EXPLR Edge® program, you must be 18 or older; for a learner under 18, an adult makes the purchase.
